At Redefine Home we believe in great design and living well everyday.  We believe that home is where the most important moments in your life happen and that it's imperitive to have a space that fits you and your family well.  We are passionate designers and it translates into everything we do.  Our clients get unique, innovative ideas and pieces for their space that will be passed down for generations.  It is our goal to have your home tell the story of you, we just know how to get it talking.

Interior Designer Linsi Brownson specializes in fresh design using a mix of old and new elements.  Whether updating an existing space or starting from scratch, she can turn a house into a home in no time.

Located in Costa Mesa, California, Linsi offers a unique service called design-in-a-day as well as ongoing consulting.  She meets in-home with clients from San Diego to Los Angeles and pursues each project with passion and excitement.  Working with Linsi promises more than just a designer opinion, clients receive access to our resources and the personal attention to find you great deals and unique items that will make your home exclusively you.

Design in a Day - $500

Can it really be done?  Sure, why not?  For spaces like living rooms, bedrooms, offices, etc. this is the perfect solution to get you feeling happy about your household again.  All it takes is creative thinking and a little muscle.  In just a couple hours, Linsi will transform your space into something functional and inviting using elements that you already have.  In addition, she'll give you a complete design consultation on what to buy to finish things up and lots of resources for how to get there.  At the end of the day you'll be calling your friends to brag, and maybe invite them to a dinner party.  This is a fun, quick and super affordable project!

Stylist Package - $500

The walls have been painted, furniture delivered and wall art is propped against the back door which you can't currently use.  It's time to pull it all together.  Linsi will professionally style your space in a day, identify perfect placement of furniture and accessories, and getting the art and lighting figured out.  This is our most fun package, you'll feel like your on a tv set all day!

Hourly Design Consultation - $95.00

Customized Room Design

Have you ever brought something home to find out it just didn't work in the room?  Or selected a fun paint color only to have it turn your walls a sickly shade?  If you're doing an overhaul on your space, any space, our Custom Room Design package is perfect for you.

It's everything you could ask for in a designer, without the high fees and long lead times.

What you get:

A custom room design to give you a clear picture of what your space will be and how to get there.

Concept Board - an e-document with inspiration images depicting the look and feel of your new space

Furniture Plan – showing furniture arrangement, rug and lighting placement

Single Room Color Palette – including 4 colors: Base, Accent, Trim and Alternate

Specification List – A spreadsheet showing suggestions for furniture and accessories, pricing and complete resources for where to buy.

Finishing Touches – Every space needs a few last things to make it your own.  We may suggest simple projects or things to look for in the future that we feel would complete the design but are not something that cannot simply be purchased on a whim.

Project Timeline - keeping on top of design and remodeling projects can take the fun out of everything.  This interactive guide will keep you organized and ready to tackle important projects and due dates.

 

How it works:

Within 24 hours of placing your order, you will receive an email that includes a design survey.  It will walk you through some basic questions regarding the existing space conditions, your style and preferences, budget and information on how to measure your room.

Send back the survey along with your hand-sketched room plan and at least 4-6 images showing the angles of your space.  Once the information is received we will begin work on your custom plan and will have it ready in 3-4 weeks.

We’ll provide simple instructions for making sure we get the information we need from you, and our design team is available for questions via email anytime.  It is our goal to make this process simple and fun, with an amazing result.

 

Furniture Layout Plan

Whether you’re replacing a few pieces or buying a whole new lot of furniture, it’s important to make sure that everything will fit comfortably into your space.  As professional designers, our team is skilled in furniture placement and planning a room that feels right when you walk into it.

Our furniture layout includes existing or new (or both) pieces that you have already selected.  We’ll need pictures, dimensions, etc. along with measurements of your space.  We walk you through the process of measuring to make sure we get all the info we need.  Your furniture layout will be emailed to you within 2 weeks of receiving your measurements and pictures.

 

Personal Online Shopping/Design Scout

Traditional Interior Designers often go out in search of that perfect piece to complete the look.  With the additional of online resources, we have an entire universe of amazing pieces to discover and the possibilities are endless.  This is exciting, but can also be overwhelming and time consuming.  Our online shopping services bring those perfect pieces directly to your inbox, saving you the time and hassle of searching thousands of sites.

We source mostly online stores due to the nature of the business, but will contact you if we feel there is a special place in your area that we want you to know about.  We may also source vintage or used pieces and make suggestions for refurbishing if needed.

 

Custom Color Palette

If you have ever stood in front of a paint kiosk, staring at thousands of color swatches - palms sweating, heart racing - wondering if color #0039 is too light or #0040 has too much grey (or really, what difference would it make?) then our Custom Color Palette was made exactly for you.

Color is crucial.  Color is a science.  At first it seems fun and can quickly take a turn for the worse if you're not exactly sure what you want.  So cross that off your To-Do and hand it over to us.  We get crazy excited about this stuff, and will take all the elements of your space into consideration when we select a custom color palette for your Single Room, Interior or Exterior.

 

Single Room Palette - $35

This palette is perfect for a single space or adjoining rooms that need cohesion.

Includes 3 coordinated color selections: 1 Base Color, 1 Accent Color, 1 Trim/Ceiling Color

 

Interior Color Palette - $75

A complete palette for your interior design, this collection of colors will inspire the whole house.
